Highlights in photo and video, of these 4 days of cruising in catamaran

A big thank you to all participants

An exceptional Tenth Edition! Having missed out the past two years, it was a great pleasure to meet up again with Fountaine Pajot Owners, Dealers and Partners for a new Owners’ Rendez-vous that was filled with sharing and discoveries. We’re taking a look back at this new edition, which began on 21st May 2022, for 4 days’ cruising out of Split in Croatia.

In all, 22 catamarans from all over the world joined the Fountaine Pajot fleet in the Mediterranean. Italy, Germany, France, Australia, Dubai, Mexico, Austria, Malta, Croatia, the UK and the USA were all represented by Fountaine Pajot owners and dealers at the event. This year, Fountaine Pajot owners had the opportunity to discover the historic town of Trogir, magnificent anchorages with crystal clear waters, the beautiful setting of the port of Maslinica on the island of Šolta, the island of Brač, and the marvellous city of Split… some great times enjoyed and shared throughout the event.

22 sailing catamarans in Croatia – Video Edit from Skippers Magazine

The four days of cruising featured some lively but friendly sailing in some of the most popular and enjoyable cruising grounds in the Mediterranean. The area is well-known for its numerous islands and relatively consistent breeze.  The Fountaine Pajot range was proudly represented by models including the Isla 40, the Astréa 42, the Elba 45, the Saona 47, the Saba 50 and the Lucia 40, all demonstrating the brand’s exceptional marine qualities.

Thanks once again to all the Fountaine Pajot owners who came from all over the world; to Emmanuel van Deth from Multihulls World magazine; to Sébastien Aubord from Skipper Suisse; to Darko Supuk from Yachts Croatia and to our partners: Thomas Doret from GARMIN, Eddy Pazalja from CGI FINANCE who attended the event, as well as VOLVO, SUNBRELLA, INCIDENCES SAILS and AYALA.

Thanks also to the teams from the Marinas at Trogir, Split, Milna and of course, Maslinica and Captain Frane Ceci Acosta; to the Martini Marchi Hotel for their wonderful welcome; to the Split Tourism Office; and to Ivana Vrdoljak, Mr Krstulov and his family, for their welcome at the Olive Museum; to everyone on the Ultra Sailing team and especially to Emil, Michael and Ante, to our Dealers and Market Experts who joined us for the Rendez-vous.

Days 1 & 2 | the town of Trogir and the island of Šolta

The crews all met up at the Marina Baotic in Trogir for welcome cocktails and to discover the programme for the next few days. Early in the morning, the 22 Fountaine Pajot sailing catamarans set sail, bound for the Blue Lagoon and their first anchorage, before starting the first leg of the Rally organised by the Ultra Sailing teams. The first leg was an enjoyable 3-hour race, involving all points of sail, around the island of Drvenik Veli before ending up at the island of Šolta.  Once on the island, the crews enjoyed the calm atmosphere in the beautiful port of Maslinica ahead of the Gala evening held at the Hotel Martini Marchi.

Day 3 | incredible anchorage and discovering the island of Brač

After a beautiful evening where everyone enjoyed some nice surprises, music and dancing, the crews set sail again for another day on the water, this time bound for the island of Brač. But before heading out on the second leg of the Rally, the fleet stopped in a wonderful anchorage, rafting up in sunflower formation, so all the Fountaine Pajot catamarans could spend lunch together at anchor. This was a first for all the Owners, and the result was some wonderful drone footage and great memories for everyone involved.

The day continued with the second leg of the Rally, organised by the teams from Yachts Croatia Magazine, with the crews arriving in the port of Milna.

Day 4 | heading for split under sail on a lively passage in 30 knots of wind

To round off the 4-day Fountaine Pajot Owners’ cruise in style, the crews took on a 30-knot wind on the beam en route for Split Marina. Once in the heart of this historic Croatian city, they were able to wander the narrow streets in the company of two local guides and discover the city and all it has to offer.

And to bring this latest edition to a wonderful close, the Owners, teams and partners said their goodbyes with a view over the city from the rooftop lounge of a hotel in the centre of town, with one last “Split Spritz”…
