My Boat and I
Ceylan and Alfie
Welcome to the second episode in the #MyBoatAndI series which follows the sailing adventures of the Fountaine Pajot catamaran @SailingCoco and her crew. All the legs of their round-the-world catamaran trip are available to watch on their Youtube channel.
In the first episode, we saw the crew participate in the famous “ARC” owners’ sailing rally. On board their Lucia 40, Coco’s owners sailed across the Atlantic, starting out from Cartagena and bound for Grenada.
Having covered 4,200 nautical miles that were full of great memories and twists and turns, Ceylan and Alfie finally arrived in the Caribbean. Here, they enjoy the crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches and show us the paradise-like landscapes of the Caribbean islands.
The crew start their Caribbean discovery at Port Louis marina in Grenada and then sail to the islands they have always dreamed of going to ever since owning their first Snapdragon 27 sailboat. Their dream was made possible by the purchase of their Fountaine Pajot Lucia 40 catamaran with which they crossed the Atlantic.
Ceylon and Alfie organise a stop at Romeo Lobster, where they enjoy their first ever taste of lobster cooked over a wood fire by the locals. Great times and a meal they won’t forget.
The newlyweds checked off Ceylon’s number one item on her Bucket List… the Tobago Cays, where they marvel at this little corner of paradise. With the Caribbean offering exceptional scenery and unique marine life, the crew dives on the underwater sites and discovers a wide variety of marine life such as turtles, manta rays and starfish. These images perfectly capture the pleasure of sharing family diving in the calm and warm waters of the Caribbean.
Ceylan and Alfie have more great Caribbean adventures and new things to check off their Bucket list.
