This Friday, 28th October 2022, sees the big start for all the crews taking part in the Rallye des Iles du Soleil. On the startline, 4 Fountaine Pajot catamarans are ready to cover the distance from their current position in La Palma in the Canary Islands to their destination, the island of Marie-Galante, off Guadeloupe. After stopping over at Mindelo in the beautiful Cape Verde archipelago, the crews will set off on a crossing of around +10 days.
Fountaine Pajot is, as always, delighted to be associated with this event which once again promises to be very convivial, with great interaction between the various participants, and all in the environment of a very well-supervised and safe rally.
Before their departure, Fountaine Pajot and the RIDS organisers got the latest word from two of the participants, Jean-Michel Cadiet, the happy owner of a Hélia 44, who is entering the transatlantic rally for the second time, and Jérôme Gromenil, former owner of a Hélia 44 but who now has a Saona 47, who is back for his fourth crossing with the Rallye des Iles du Soleil.
On the programme for this video: sharing experiences, Atlantic sailing aboard a Fountaine Pajot catamaran, planning for idyllic destinations, and of course, sharing our common passion: the sea and the oceans.
