The SANYA 57 has been just launched by her God Mother, Isabelle Racoupeau ,interior designer of SANYA 57.
Interview of this famous designer of the BERRET RACOUPEAU office.
«With her new clean, sleek lines, the Sanya marks an evolution in style, so quite logically her interiors follow the same direction.
An elegant design
We wanted to develop a contemporary, urban identity without betraying the Sanya’s seaworthiness quality – a Fountaine-Pajot hallmark. Elegance, minimalism and refinement are combined with ergonomics and quality of life.
Important work has been completed on both the horizontality of the lines and the wood fiber, which reinforces the natural feeling of space in the boat while emphasizing the definition of the spaces.
The refinement of the lines is enhanced by a harmonious association of materials and colours:
-Cherry wood for softness,
-Wenge wood for warmth,
-Stainless steel for its richness,
-The work on the panels that are sheathed and finely topstitched.
The sober and elegant furniture design, associated with the discreet, hollow joints and thick wash boards, further enhances the harmony and quality of the interior decoration.
A convivial boat
The Sanya also had to be convivial and adaptable. This is why, for example in the saloon, the sofas are large, comfortable, inviting relaxation without enclosing the space. Adaptable: with the modular saloon table allowing the space to become either living room or dining room. Special attention has been paid to the lighting to give a warm and refined atmosphere at night, by its volumetric approach and its modularity.
A user-friendly catamaran
The Sanya having been designed both for demanding owners and charter brokers, we worked on the «discreet» integration of equipment as well as on the enhancement of spaces to maximize storage.
The best example of this is undoubtedly the huge central galley which, in contemporary style, houses both storage and equipment.»
